Getting back to surfing Pacasmayo has been a goal ever since Covid started. Luckily this year it finally happened. Pacasmayo seemed the same, literally like we never left. Our friends were there, the surf was there, and the good times were rolling. Unfortunately for my Peruvian friends Covid hit many families very hard. Seemed everyone was touched by either lost family or friends. It looked like Pacasmayo got hit hard. However, everyone seemed the same as when we saw them last in 2019. Big hearts, fun times, good waves and great food. One nice thing this year was the water temperature due to this years El Nino. Trunkin it every day made it fun. However with the El Nino, there was a little more wind than usual in the mornings.
