Waves are peeling right now as you read this.

Carlos waits patiently.

 Not much has changed, except for the years creeping by.   The waves were still peeling, the hotel was still a bargain, and Pacasmayo was still a hidden gem  in the middle of the desert.   Pretty close to paradise in my mind.
