This year the guys surfed the third point, or as Miguel likes to call it “El Cape” As the guys jumped into the zodiac, Miguel, Alex and I hiked up the point. Miguel thought that they were going to surf the first point, but as the zodiac zoomed past it, I heard Miguel say “Oso Gris, mucho trabajo” I started laughing. Oso Gris was the nickname that Miguel had given Tom, years before. While the waves were smaller than years past, the place was still lining up like a machine. A different wave than El Faro, but magical in its own way.
