Pacasmayo’s Market

Peru- A seafood lovers paradise

If you love seafood and fruit, Peru is paradise.    The freshness, quality, and price are too much to comprehend some times.   While in Pacasmayo, we visited 2 markets.  One was in a shopping area, with vendors in stalls.  The other is on a street, and is about 4 blocks long.  Vendors set up with their goods, and sell them.  Talking to our moto taxi driver Carlos, he said that sometime there are even more vendors, and it is about 6 blocks long.   I was blown away with the size of the fruits and vegetables.   They just seem so much bigger than the states.   Also the prices were ridiculously cheap.   For example, a huge Avocado (I mean HUGE)  was less than 50 cents.   No preservatives, food coloring, or artificial ingredients.   It made me realize how screwed up the American diet is.
