The pier at Pacasmayo.
The Pacasmayo pier was built in the 1860’s, making it over 150 years old. It has a railway on it, for a train. It was pretty scary walking on it. The railroad tracks were rusted out. The planks had gaps between them, and many would wobble under your feet. I do not know if it is true, but I was told that the original pier was longer, until a storm destroyed a portion of it. This was the first time I had been on it, in all my trips.
